Blowfish Encryption Engine
Microsoft’s CryptAPI engine
Data Encryption Standard (DES) Engine
GOST Encryption Engine
RSA Security RC4 Encryption Engine
Skipjack Encryption Engine
A Tiny Encryption Algorithm (TEA) Encryption Engine
TwoFish

TO PREVENT DECRYPTION PROBLEMS: DO NOT MIX ENGINES OR KEYS DUE TO DESCRIPTOR ERRORS. SCRIPTING WILL BE AVAILABLE (FOR FREE OF COURSE) AS SOON AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE.

You can choose your own key or you can choose one of several that LockTight can provide. i.e. it can provide you with the SERIAL number of your C:\ and use that as a key. If someone else tries to unlock, it fails as their C:\ SERIAL is different to yours! Not totally satisfied? Use a random DECIMAL or random HEXIDECIMAL key. Still not satisfied? How about letting LockTight create a random ASCII key (containing upto 65,535 characters from ASCII range 32 to 255).

FAQ:

** LTAP = LockTightProApp

Using LTAP with manual encryption (user must remember the passwords/keys!!!)

Stat LTAP
Use the File-Folder Explorer to browse to the file(s) you want to encrypt.
Select the files you want to be encrypted.
Select the Encryption/Decryption Engine
Type in a key or use the "Optional Keys" menu in LockTight to randomly generate one (you'll need to make a note of the KEY or use a script to build up the KEYs for you. (script control).
Select the Method i.e. Only files selected or the selected direct and all subdirectories of that parent directory.

Using LTAP with Script-Control
(allows multiple encryptions with complex keys without the need for the user to remember i.e. A script is created and saved.)

Start LTAP
Click on use script.
(at the top of the screen, there is a "button" that says "Begin Script Recording") - click on it.
When you click on it, you will notice that "other" buttons and options are disabled (this is to guide you through the process).
Also note that the "begin script recording" has now been changed to "stop script recording".
In the Main LTAP window, the Encrpytion/Decryption Engine combo-drop-down is enabled so you can choose an engine.
Pick One.
When you do, the engine will be listed in the script window. Now you must choose a Key.
This can be anything that you can type into the key box on the main application window.

LTAP also provides you with some random one's so that only the computer will be able to debug, including your serial hard-drive number (so if someone copies the file to their hard-drive and runs the decryption, the key (your hard-drive serial) will not match theirs...They can't open it! However, if you have a disk failure, you next new hard-drive will have a different serial number....so it won't decrypt. But you can always make a physical note of the serial number.

As you click on the script window or any other part of LTAP, the key appears next in the script list.
Now you can either (1) save the script and use it or (2) add more engines and more keys (as many as you like).
The more you use, the slower the encryption/decryption process BUT the stronger the encryption.
Hope this helped and if you're impressed (and I'm sure you are, let your friends know! Its FREEWARE!)
