The clipboard in Windows is a small
but very handy feature for storing text-items.

The only problem is....
You can hold only one piece of information
at any one time and sometimes, just sometimes,
I need to "roll-back"
a few clipboard pieces of informatio, but of course, I can't. :(

That's where ClipBoardiSHistory comes in.

ClipBoardiSHistory can keep EVERY piece of ClipBoard text-information,
upto 999 days worth (unlimited items PER day) OR Upto 999 items -
you choose!
with as many clipboard "pieces" as you like,
containing as much information as you like
- that can be retrieved at any time
and placed back into the clipboard with a few mouse-clicks
- literally. It is THAT easy to use.

Features include:

PROGRAM USAGE

Run the ClipBoardiSHistory icon from your Start-Menu/ClipBoardiSHistory folder.

An icon will appear in your task-tray and looks like a Clipboard.

You can either just LEFT click the ClipBoardiSHistory tray icon to bring up
the ClipBoardiSHistory history-screen or
RIGHT
click on the tray until a menu appears.
Here you can go into ClipBoardiSHistory and adjust its settings
or set ClipBoardiSHistory to start up with Windows on each boot,
clear all of the ClipBoardiSHistory history or quit the application.

In the ClipBoardiSHistory window
(when you have select it to open via the pop-up menu),
you can change the amount of days that ClipBoardiSHistory
will hold in Clipboard contents,
a list of dates and times
where Clipboard contents have been copied into ClipBoardiSHistory.
Whether or not you want to have ClipBoardiSHistory
to trim leading and trailing spaces from captured text,
clear the database or set a new database location via a folder-browser.

To view any of the ClipBoardiSHistory contents,
you just need to scroll through the list of dates
and as you do, the text will appear to the right.

From there, you can have that text put back into your
clipboard for pasting elsewhere,
or you can delete the item from the ClipBoardiSHistory history,
Amend the text and re-save into the ClipBoardiSHistory database.

Very simple, very effective and very FREE.

Here is a Frequently Asked Questions section:

1) Is it necessary to activate ClipBoardiSHistory
every time I turn my computer
on in order to save clipboard items (or records) on it?

ANSWER:
Right click on the ClipBoardiSHistory icon in your task-tray
and select the "Start up with Windows" option so it is ticked.
ClipBoardiSHistory will then start up with windows
on each time you login or start windows.

2) How do I choose clipboard "pieces" to be put on ClipBoardiSHistory?

Everytime you put something in your clipboard,
ClipBoardiSHistory keeps a copy
of it for either a certain amount of days
or a certain amount of items captured.
i.e. you could set ClipBoardiSHistory to capture everything
in your clipboard for the next 999 days or upto 999 items.
When it reaches that limit,
the oldest data is dropped off to fit in the latest,
sort of stock-rotating the clipboard items
so the newest is always stored.

3) How, then, can I see or retrieve items (or records thereof)
put on ClipBoardiSHistory?

You can instantly retrieve the last 30 items
by right-clicking on the ClipBoardiSHistory icon
in the task-tray and then selecting "Last 30 items"
and they will appear in the menu.
Select one of them and it is placed
back into your current windows clipboard, ready for pasting.

Alternatively, you can click on the ClipBoardiSHistory icon
in your task-tray with your LEFT mouse button
to bring up the ClipBoardiSHistory main screen,
where you can select a date/time to retrieve older clipboard items
or you can browse by the application name
that was used when you copied the text to your clipboard,
so you can look at all of your clipboard items from
Notepad or Internet Explorer
- whatever the application was captured in.

Always work on the task-tray icon of ClipBoardiSHistory
- it looks like a newspaper.
